I am almost ready to show you my first pair of crocheted socks. Methinks this sock thing might stick around for a while. In anticipation of this, behold an array of beautiful sock yarns.
mmmmmmmmmmmmm. sock yarns.............
Some of these are not cheap. Home make socks do not save money. However the joy of creating such a functional item- one little stitch at a time, brings me much joy. It that weird?

I've knitted, but never crochet ed socks: what pattern do you use? How do you do it? Piccies please of socks. I'm currently (still) working on my cloak, but am on the last unpacked ball of wool, so will have to stop very soon until I can find the rest of the wool
I really hope you finish your cloak killi - I would love to see it.
The sock recipe came from a whole book of crocheted sock recipies - I posted about it a couple of weeks ag0. there are 16 whole patterns and i am starting off with the easiest!
good luck with the wool search!
I think I might post a picture of the part finished cloak once I've crochet ed & sewn up all the triangles & squares I can make from this last ball, just to give an idea of what it should look like. Thankfully, my model is almost as tall as me, so the length shouldn't drag on the floor too much. I altered the original pattern drastically ~ it was a straight knee-length cloak which I've made very full & full-length, hence the years it's taken to get done
Socks can be very addictive;)Trust me.LOL..
