Dirt Girl World

Heehee. I was just visiting Aussiemumbec - a new blog I found whilst meandering about the internets and HOW DIDN'T I KNOW ABOUT DIRT GIRL?  (well, being firmly Gen X, I only knew about tank girl....)

Hello! Welcome new visitors - whose respective blogs I am also loving.

I agree she is a little weird, but I LOVE the concept, and love the message that going out side, hugging chickens, looking for bugs, growing veggies and getting grubby with great abandon is an excellent and fine thing for young ladies to do.

I once helped a childcare centre set up a big bathtub worm farm, a compost bin and some raised garden begs for veggies, and well, the kiddies LOVED the worms and LOVED getting grubby and I must admit, they got FILTHY. I wondered to one of the workers if it was bad that we had gotten the kid's clothes so muddy and she said, and I LOVE her forever for this "If I don't send them home filthy I haven't done my job". I love it!

Long time favourites of dirt girl world here in our house, I love it as much as them... cool music and great attitude! Yes, the characters have some sort of twitch-thing going on, and the grub/ weavil are a strange duo BUT this is the way of the future people, go get grubby!!
