chickie sunday

Here are the kids - three weeks old today. Joe is taking two and I am giving the remaining 4 to my neighbour Mario. He is giving me a bunny rabbit in return. (and I don't mean a fluffy one). Hmmm, yum. Bunny Rabbit. I am thinking some kind of English Bunny Stew......

And here are today's babies. Nine so far. You can see they are in various stages of fluffing out. So far they are all Pekins bar one weak little Faverolle. Fingers crossed some more faverolles hatch out!

oo - I would love some of your little chicks! I have a Cochin and she is so beautiful - some little Pekins would be lovely. One is a sort of blue colour - what do you call that?

Another Cochin lover! I have blacks, a blue & a Partridge Cockerel (my favourite)& then mixtures of those ~ hennies & cockerels.

I posted a piccy of my cloak on this weblog (killi on wordpress instead of Blogspot as I've still got no editing tools again)

Yay chickens! So many little roast dinners, just waiting to grow up.

The Architect says: your neighbour Mario is my kind of people.

Oh how cute. No chicks or ducklings at my place yet. Aren't they a joy to watch??

Try again, for the 5th time! Thank you for the comment about my cloak, I just need to find the rest of the yarn to finish it now!

7 of the outside chicks disappeared ~ lunch for something, I fear. Vanilla & Custard are off on their travels with their foster mother & her person.
I have 8 ducklings now under a heat lamp in the poultry shed ~ 5 yellows & 3 black & yellows & Li Tze, the 1 remaining Silky (a cockerel) keeps joining them.
The 4 puppies are in a box by the range & are getting big, rolypoly & 'splority. We had snow this morning...
